Jason Helmer
Jason Helmer began his Martial Arts training with AmeriKick in the early part of 1998. When he started training he was in a class of 20 Adult students or more. His instructor, Michael Semeriglia (6th degree), saw special talent in his student Jason and at the rank of blue belt began to train him on how to become an instructor. At the rank of 1st Kyu Brown belt Jason then joined the staff of his instructor, and became Manager of both the Haddon Heights and South Philly Locations. Jason was the only student from his class who achieved his goal of Black Belt. He was promoted to 1st Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo on June 1st 2002, received his 2nd degree black on November 12th 2005 and in February 2012, Jason earned the rank of 3rd degree black belt. Jason is also a certified black belt by the WKKA.
As of August 4th 2003, Jason then became the Owner and Senior Instructor of the AmeriKick South Philly location. Jason is still in active training under his Senior Instructor, Sensei Mike Semeriglia, and is also currently Training with Grand Master Dennis Tosten to achieve the Rank of Black Belt in Modern Arnis. Among all the Martial arts training and teaching that he does, Jason attends Drexel University where he is pursuing a degree in Business & Engineering! Jason is a Leader by example for his students at the AmeriKick South Philly Location.
He was just recently promoted to 3rd degree Black Belt on Sunday February 19th 2012 and is continuing to show his dedication to the art.

Testimonials
AmerKick South Philly is a school that I highly recommend. The environment is one of warmth, friendliness, openness, and family. In these days of so much violence it is essential for the students to learn lessons for life. Their instructors are very knowledgeable and they have the necessary skills to teach. They instill skills that the students will need to use outside the martial arts world. They provide flexible hours to accommodate all levels of learning. Jason Helmer maintains a well-organized and highly professional school. He is very committed to his instructors, students and their families at maintaining high levels at AmeriKick South Philly.
